NOW WHAT?!

Okay, so I made my target list and I have my highlight video...

NOW WHAT?

Now, we INTRODUCE ourselves! Consider your intro email like a virtual handshake! This is your opportunity to make a good first impression and really make yourself stand out so that YOUR name gets added to that recruiting board.

1. Make sure your intro email has ALL your contact information! Name, email, cell number, what club you play for (and that coach's info), your online profile (with links), etc. You want that coach to be able to get in touch with you to express their interest!

2. PROOFREAD -- this is a big one! Don't write your intro email like a text message! Make sure everything is spelled correctly and that you have edited it appropriately. This shows that you are not only professional, but that you know how to communicate!

3. Make sure the ATHLETE is sending the email (and not Mom or Dad). College coaches want to hear from YOU, not your parents!

Your introduction email is SO important because it sets the tone and creates that first impression with college coaches. You want to make sure that you are really marketing yourself appropriately, effectively, and positively!
