TEAM Co-Founder, Charlotte Coaching Director
Originally from Upstate New York, Andrea moved to San Diego from the East Coast in May of 2008, recently making her way back to Charlotte, NC in October 2016. Playing every sport growing up kept Andrea well-rounded; however, it was lacrosse where she excelled. A starter her freshman year on Varsity lacrosse, Andrea aided her team to the State Championship for four consecutive years. Being involved with many extracurricular activities, Andrea was president of Key Club for three years, treasurer of her senior class, and parliamentarian of the student council. She also coached younger kids at the local YMCA in gymnastics, was an ice skating instructor, and worked summers for Parks and Recreation. Growing up, Andrea also played volleyball, basketball, ran track, and was on the swim & dive team. Ultimately, it was lacrosse where she found her passion.
In college, Andrea not only continued her love for athletics by playing lacrosse, but also wrote for various publications, was on several committees, secretary of Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society, and started substitute teaching when she was 19. Ready to start her life, Andrea graduated a year early from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional & Technical Communication. In 2004, she moved south where she started her entrepreneurial journey, working with the first of four start-up companies.
Over the next few years Andrea lived in Baltimore, MD and Charlotte, NC where she coached girls' lacrosse for middle school, youth leagues, and high school camps. She also helped student-athletes who were interested in playing at the collegiate level by helping them with the recruiting process. Andrea's ability to help kids get excited about what they can accomplish is where she feels the most fulfilled.
Andrea moved to San Diego in 2008, and started off as the Head Varsity lacrosse coach at both public and private high schools, helped coach a competitive club program, and ran numerous clinics and lessons. Andrea coached for four seasons as a middle school girls' coach for the Scripps Ranch Lacrosse Association, and was the Executive Director of SRLax overseeing the boys' and girls' pee-wee and middle school programs for two years. She completed her fifth season as Head Coach at UC San Diego in 2016. In 2014, the Tritons were coined the WWLL Division II Champions in Santa Barbara. Andrea was also named Coach of the Year during the league championship. In 2013, Andrea left her six-figure job in medical sales to pursue her dream and go full-time lacrosse. In February 2016, TEAM Lacrosse Academy was officially born, with the help of co-founder, Katie Williams.
Andrea continues her love of the sport year round by playing post-collegiate lacrosse with San Diego Lacrosse Club, traveling to tournaments in Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, and Las Vegas annually. In addition to coaching, Andrea has been involved in several non-profits, charities and served on the board for the San Diego Chapter of USLacrosse, Secretary of Be REAL Students, Secretary of the WWLL (Western Women's Lacrosse League), and Committee Chair for Tackle ALZ (SD Alzheimer's Association).
In October 2016, Andrea moved to Charlotte, NC expanding TEAM Lacrosse Academy, and helping spread the love of lacrosse from Southern California to the East Coast! She is currently the head varsity lacrosse coach at Providence High School, and was named Coach of the Year for the 2016-2017 season. Andrea's true passion is to coach, teach and mentor young women to become the best version of themselves as student-athletes on the lacrosse field as well as community leaders.

I was fortunate to grow up in an area where the game of lacrosse is highly competitive. I was a three years as a member of the Annapolis Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team located in Annapolis, MD. In 1996, we won the 3A/4A State Championship going 20-0 on the season. Upon winning the state title my Junior year, our team was also rated the #1 High School Lacrosse Team in the Nation by Lacrosse Magazine. I was selected to the All-County team my Junior and Senior years. I was nominated by my coach for All-American status my Senior year. I furthered my lacrosse career on the collegiate level at ODU for one year before transferring schools and giving up the game. In that year, I played in 13 games and contributed 2 goals. After many years away from the sport, in the Fall of 2017, I was able to come back as a coach for my youngest daughter, as she got her first taste for the game at 6 years old. I coached five seasons with the Cape Fear Lacrosse Association and loved being able to teach the fundamentals of the “fastest game on two feet” to young girls. Continuing my coaching career with TEAM Lacrosse Academy and TEAM Pride is such an honor and privilege. I hope to inspire and instill a passion in these athletes, not only in the game of lacrosse, but also in life.

Hillary was born and lived her youth years in Southern Maryland until her nursing career took her all over the country. After graduating from Robert Morris University with a BSN in Nursing she lived in Pittsburgh for 2 years. Then she decided to become a travel nurse where she took short term hospital contracts all over the country for 2 years. She recently moved from Denver, CO. to Wilmington, NC. this past summer.
She started her lacrosse career at a later age of 14 where she quickly excelled at her high school in Maryland. After spending the majority of her life dedicated to competitive soccer, she decided to hang up her soccer cleats and focus full time on her love of lacrosse. She was awarded an all-conference recognition as a defender her Junior and Senior Year and also played for CC Lax travel team based out of Annapolis, MD.
Hillary went on to play Division 1 lacrosse at Robert Morris University. She was a defenseman for 2.5 years until making the tough choice of having to devote more time to her difficult nursing major. Emily was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and was competitive at an early age. From swimming to basketball, she has always been a big sports fan, but lacrosse was her favorite since fourth grade, which happened to be the first time a stick was placed in her hand. A graduate of Westhill High School in 2014, Emily quickly found herself in Hickory, NC playing Division II lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
A four year defensive starter and three year captain, Emily helped lead her team to their first ever perfect conference record in school history. Throughout her four years of playing collegiately Emily was awarded Second Team All South Atlantic Conference accolades three times in a row and was a All SAC tournament team player her senior year. Although lacrosse was extremely important to her, so were her academics. She was a member of Mortar Board National Honor Society and graduated with her B.A. in Multimedia Communications. You can now find Emily working in ticket sales at the Spectrum Center for the Charlotte Hornets!
Throughout the summers, Emily mostly found herself lifeguarding and coaching. As for her, the love of the game never has stopped and she often finds herself longing for summer, where she can coach Blue Wave Youth lacrosse back home in Syracuse. Being down in Charlotte now, she knew the first thing she would be doing over the summer was getting a stick back in her hand and helping youth grow the game of lacrosse one team at a time.
